Brittney has a passion for sharing knowledge and and spreading the joy of movement. With 7 years of teaching experience, Brittney instructs contemporary dance, improvisation, jazz, ballet, partnering, tap, musical theatre, and conditioning to students of varying levels at several dance schools. Brittney’s dance classes encourage body positivity, practice movement safety, harness bravery, and exercise freedom of expression

Artistically, Brittney has a strong affinity for and connections within alternative pop culture, particularly the indie-rock and indie-pop music community in Canada. She strives to create work in the dance medium that harnesses what she loves about the work that is made in this particular art scene; accessibility without dilution of content, collaboration, and camaraderie. This interest in collaboration has lead her to involve herself in interdisciplinary experimentation with musicians, photographers, film makers, visual artists, poets, and performance artists. Brittney’s choreography is technically challenging, quirky, expressive, and dynamic. She has created and performed original work for stage and video with: The Barr Brothers, Wintersleep, Thor Harris (Thor and Friends), Calum Graham, Sheenah Ko, Michael Bernard Fitzgerald, Tambour, Catherine Dong, Jon Davis, Tara McGowan Ross, Sab and the Family Band, and many other inspiring Canadian artists.
